Mooney M20G Statesman, N3910N
A classic long-body Mooney: four seats, retractable gear, constant-speed prop, and the efficiency that made Mooney famous.
The long-body Mooney with a 180-hp heart
The FAA approved the M20G on November 13, 1967, and Mooney built it for the 1968–1970 model years. About 190 were produced. It paired the M20C's dependable 180-hp carbureted Lycoming with the longer fuselage of the M20F Executive, giving the "Statesman" about 10 inches more cabin length and a third side window.
The result is a roomy, efficient four-seat traveler. It is a complex airplane under 14 CFR 61.1 (retractable gear, flaps and a controllable-pitch propeller), and at 180 hp it is not a high-performance airplane under 61.31(f).
